Full Health History and Comprehensive Examination of Every New Patient.
New patient visits are about one hour in length. Initial paperwork can be completed at the time of first visit, or ahead of time. A comprehensive health history will be covered and wil include: main reason for visit, prior injuries or illnesses, family history, and social history. You might be asked to put on a gown for your examination, which will include posture analysis, range of motion, orthopedic testing, neurological testing, and a chiropractic examination. Depending upon the findings of the history and exam, appropriate chiropractic treatment or referral will be made. Dr.Joy will then explain her findings and offer suggestions for a treatment plan.
Chiropractic Adjustments: We offer both manual and low-force techniques.
Most visits are approximately 20 minutes in length. Some doctors use their hands, others use special tables or instruments. Dr. Joy has a wide variety of techniques to offer ranging from applied kinesiology (muscle testing) and SOT (sacro-occipital technique), to Activator and manual adjustments. Depending on the treatment plan, visits may incorporate stretching and/or strengthening exercises.

Blood work and lab tests may be ordered to assess nutritional toxicity and/or deficiencies. Whole-food healthy eating habits are emphasised, and supplementation or detoxification suggested based on individual needs.

Our Cancellation Policy:
Please be considerate of our time, as we are considerate of yours. We kindly ask that you notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. We understand that sometimes life can be unpredictable, so it is our policy that you are allowed a missed appointment with no penalty. After the first cancellation or missed appointment, you may be assessed a $30 service charge. We ask that you pay this before your next visit, as it will not be billed through insurance.
